It's Game Time!
The big game between Florida A&M University and Bethune Cookman University is going down Saturday, November 22 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Don't forget about the battle of the bands on the 21st. Blog below and tell us what you think!

GO FAMU!!!!!!
The classic is soooo fun. And if BCU think their going to win this year, then they have another thing coming. We have a new coach who is about that business. Just ask Hampton what we did to them, and Joe Taylor former coach. GO JOE! GO RATTLERS!
And please don't get the impression that the Wildcats band will do anything shut The 100 down. It's not happening.
I had never heard of the Florida Classic until I moved to Tallahassee, Florida, in the late 1990s, and began working at FAMU. I can remember the campus slowly emptying out on that Wednesday and Thursday before the game. Everyone from students to faculty to administrators would plan huge caravans to make the trek to Orlando.
However, it wasn't until last year when the Florida Classic became a client for PRodigy that I truly began to see just how important this event is.
I have never attended the actual Florida Classic football game. Since I don't really like football, and I don't like huge, unruly crowds, and I'm usually close to exhaustion by the time the Classic rolls around each year, it is unlikely that I will ever go. As a matter of fact, if I made that trip, I would probably spend the time luxuriating in my 5-star hotel suite, or leisurely shopping at the Millennial Mall, or finding a nice restaurant to eat at.
Here's my all-time wish: I wish I could find the money to take every student who worked on the Florida Classic Account to the game; all expenses paid.
We would get us a big luxury tour bus and travel to Orlando and have us a good ol' time. The students sould go to the games, and band shows, and parties, and I could get me some rest!!!
EVERYONE knows that people come from ALL over the U.S. JUST to see the Florida A&M University MARCHING 100!! Every band tries to look like us, dance like us, PERFORM ALL OVER THE WORLD LIKE US! We ARE who other bands STRIVE to be LIKE!
BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE MARCHING 100!
Although last year was my first time going, I've heard about the Florida Classic every since I was in middle school! When I finally got to go, I was so excited! The best part, to me, was the AllState BOTB because we, Dillard High School, got to be a part of it and of course we showed out! I just wish FAM would have done better at the game though. It would have made the experience that much better!
This years game is going to be really good. Both teams have good football season records!
Both bands are good too, but I know MY WILDCATS will Dominate the game and the halftime show!

This Will be my fourth time going to the Florida Classic and I can honestly say that it gets better and better each year!!! There has never been a time that I didn't have fun during this classic! The game is great, the band is great(well atleast the 100 is) lol, the food is great, the parties are great, everything is great!!! So if you haven't been make you're way down to Orlando and get you're Party on!!!
Lawrence Williams III say's... Once again it is Florida Classic time. Every year FAMU graces Orlando with that Orange and Green spirit. Since the florida classic has been in up and going the Half-time show has been a rap... So expect nothing less this year. The Marching '100' will do what they do best and that includes playing BCU/who under the ground! As for the game we will come out victorious... As for the down play Rattlers expect to be in utter dismay as you will have to sit through lets go wildcats at least 20 times on saturday. Since we are the Home team this year I will walking around looking at vendors because i can't sit through another BCU half-time show!!! See you there... FAMU FOREVER GO RATTLES!!!
I know the semsester is coming to a close fast. I know there is alot of work that is due and tests to take,but if you can manage it, find some time this weekend to come out to the classic. It's going to be alot of fun! So come out and support the FAMU Rattlers and the Marching 100. GO FAMU!!!
I'm soooo excited to attend the Florida Classic this year! Every year I go something new and exciting happens. I always meet new friends, show my Rattler pride at the game, and enjoy the night and the food.

BTW, I haven't missed a Florida Classic since 1996 when the game was being played in Tampa...The Florida Classic is GREAT!!!

BCU, welcome to Orlando, we hope that you enjoy your trip prior to the game, because the Rattlers are coming to dominate you in four quarters of nonstop action. Oh and when you think its over, we are coming back to BLOW you out in the 5TH! The unconquerorable, band of bands will be there.. no time for practice, they will be there to entertain on a level BCU has quite made it to. How do I know????? Cause we all bleed ORANGGE AND GREEN!
This year I would really like to see every one watch the game and not 25% of the stadium leave after half-time. FAMU actually has a good football team this year and we are gonna tear BCCC (Bethune Cookman Community College) to pieces
The only thing good that EVER came from B-C is the fight song you all play during the game. We have the better band, football team, academic programs, etc etc. I could go on and on but I'm in class... =)
Lets just let it be known: FAMU is the #1 HBCU in the country! Regardless to if we win the game or not (which we will) no one can top us. We are the only HBCU with ESPN for Game Day, we have the #1 newspaper among not only HBCU's but in the country and we had the livest Watch Party for President Elect Barack Obama! Lets not mention the band: Grammys, television appearances and the most outlandish half time performances in the world. We are the highest of 7 hills and come November 22nd we will STRIKE, STRIKE AND STRIKE AGAIN!!

FAMU is the only HBCU with the livest band,excellent student body,and all around SPUNK to back it up...As a second generation Rattler, I have always had a deep love for FAMU...SO BCC(Im sorry BCU)YA'LL BETTA COME WITH IT THIS YEAR...CAUSE MY RATTLERS ARE BRINGING IT!!

I have been going to the classic since the 7th grade, and every year there's something new to see. I especially enjoy the street vendors and the mini car shows that take place outside of the stadium. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else except orlando this weekend go rattlers!!!!!

Im excitied about the classic this year. I have gone since I was a liitle girl with family and freinds.
I have high hopes for this year...Our football team is excelling our band is will never stop! and we the students have incomparable, undeniable, RATTLER PRIDE!!!

Ok. This game should be a good match up because this year we both have good teams. Our MEAC records are nearly the same, with the exception of BCU receiving a victory over Morgan State, setting their record one game above FAMU. However, the margins of both games were the same, with the victors winning by 3 or 4 points.
You Wildcats better not sleep on us this year. Joe Taylor has our boys in shape this season and we are prepared to dominate not only athletically but musically as well with "THE MARCHING 100."
Yeah, we saw you all here at OUR homecoming trying to see what we were about to bring this year.We know you're real nervous right now. I hope you enjoyed OUR festivities.
Remember that FLORIDA AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL UNIVERSITY is and ALWAYS will be THE #1 HBCU in the nation.

With all of the posters and radio advertisement that I've been hearing, it seems as though the classic this weekend will be bigger than before and much fun. See you all there and LET'S GO RATTLERS!
Since this is only me second semester I have never been to the Classic. And due to low funds, lol, I will not be able to atten this year. But I hear about it all the time and I really wish I could go. I'll be there in spirit!!!

Every year all the students at FAMU and BCC gets excited about the classics, but it's more then just a football game. It's about UNITY, because you have two H.B.C.U's, FAMU being the BEST, come together. During this time you will laugh and have a great time. This is also the time you meet up with old friends and sometimes bump into new friends. So as FAMU beat BCC in football and at the half-time, remember what is it all about, UNITY.
I just know I can't wait to go shopping at all the vendors at the games. You can get some of the best stuff at 'classics'

AKILAH...the wildcats have been dominatED for YEARS, both the football team and the band.
This years the classic is going to be a MUST. With all of the advertising and promoting (PRodigy has done a GREAT job) everyone has been anticipating this weekend.
With that being said, I am picking up my bags and walking out the door.
